Our History
My Kiwi Adventure is your one stop shop for the Central Plateau.
We offer mountain bike hire and transport to a range of tracks in the area for all abilities. Whakapapa Ski Area transport during winter of Summer if you like skiing/boarding or sightseeing on the Skywaka.
Tongariro Alpine Crossing transport - one of the best one day hikes on the planet. Paddleboard hire & guiding with amazing views of all three volcanoes. Mini golf - New Zealand's highest. Out the front of our shop.
All in and around the Tongariro National Park. We can custom design your trip to suit. Families and group of lads. We also closely operate with a range of other operators in the area so you trip will be one to remember.

- Tongariro National Parks iconic downhill mountain biking trail.
- Fishers Track is a 27km, grade 2 track with spectacular views over Tongariro National Park and the Retaruke Valley.
- This track is mostly downhill with over 600 metres of vertical descent to enjoy!
- $65 Per Person* for a hard tail mountain bike and transport or $125.00 for bike and transport
- Includes bike rental, helmet, repair kit, pump, map and return transport back to our booking centre in National Park Village.
Please allow 2-3 hours to complete this trail.
Departs daily at 9.30am. We require a Minimum of 2 people to run this trip.

- Try our local favourite, the historical Ohakune Old Coach Road mountain bike ride from Horoptio to Ohakune.
- A 15km, grade 2 trail with stunning views, featuring the restored Hapuawhenua rail viaduct.
- After the ride, you'll be picked up and transported back to our booking centre in National Park Village.
- $75 Per Person* for hard tail mountain bike and transport or $125.00 for bike and transport
Between 1906 and 1908 the Ohakune Old Coach Road covered the only section of the Main Trunk Line that was not finished which meant passengers would have to disembark from the train to travel by horse and coach through the foothills of Ruapehu. As a result, a whole support industry sprouted up around the Ohakune Old Coach Road to make sure everyone could be transported.
Includes bike rental, helmet, repair kit, pump, map and return transport from our booking centre located at 2 Findlay Street, National Park Village (attached to Schnapps Bar & Mini Golf).
Allow up to two and a half hours to complete the 15km ride from Horopito to Ohakune with much of it being downhill.
Departs daily at 10.30am. We require a MINIMUM of 2 people to run this trip.
Only $55 per person* for transport only option. Great for those with their own bike or wanting to walk the trail.

Start: National Park Village
Finish: National Park Village - Appropriate for the whole family, this loop trail follows a recovered bush tramway route for an approximate 2-3 hour ride. Starting and finishing in National Park Village, you will bounce in and out of pine plantation as you travel alongside the North Island Main Trunk Railway Line.
- $45.00 per person hard tail bike or $70.00 for ebike (bike hire only no transport needed).
42nd Traverse

- Test yourself on the 42 Traverse, a 48km scenic one day, grade 3 ride.
- If getting away from the crowds and experiencing plenty of variety is what you're after, the 42 Traverse is the trail for you.
- Suitable for those with a relatively good level of fitness and sense of adventure.
- $100 Per Person* for transport only.
- No rental bike option for 42nd traverse
- Can do one way transport at $65.00 per person.

Please arrive at our booking center at least 15 minutes before your scheduled departure time. We are located at 2 Findlay Street, National Park Village, attached to Schnapps Bar & Mini Golf.
My Kiwi Adventure reserves the right to cancel any trip due to weather or any other adverse circumstances. A full refund will be given for cancellations 3 days or more prior to the scheduled activity.
Summit shuttles is responsible for any transportation and shuttles. They are employed by My Kiwi Adventure.
